Anne Prenez (Hong Kong)

Anne Prenez is a STEP Member of the Hong Kong branch and member of the STEP Philanthropy Committee with more than 10 years experience in financial and family office services in Europe, the US and Asia. She is founder and principal at Asia Family Wealth & Philanthropy Consulting Limited. She has an Executive Master in Wealth Management and graduated with a Master in International Relations and International Affairs. Her areas of expertise include family and corporate governance, compliance, tax/ estate planning, wealth structuring, trust management and philanthropy.

Anne has worked for an independent trust company and within Single Family Offices for the management of affairs of Ultra High Net Worth clients and has a thorough knowledge of the UHNW segment, understanding their complex needs and challenges. She has worked in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Among her major projects and achievements, she assisted a UHNW family group holding a majority stake in a listed global retail group in the administration of their investments and affairs. After a liquidation event, she assisted a family branch in the setting-up of a Single Family Office in Europe and the US and the deployment of their global portfolio allocation strategy. She was also instrumental in the design and implementation of the grant-making strategy of a US and Swiss private foundation for which she acts as Board Member. More recently, she completed the restructuration of a complex portfolio of fiduciary structures involving multiple jurisdictions for an established Asian SFO with US beneficiaries. 

Lately Anne has been advising HNW families on the set-up of family offices and their family governance framework. She also provides strategic giving advisory services in partnership with WISE philanthropy advisors (winner of the STEP Philanthropy Team of the year 2012/2013).
